Applicants are liable to get Pre-matric scholarships, Post-matric scholarships, and Merit-cum-Means Scholarship. This program is suitable for those students who get admission in professional and technical courses.

Government of India is willing to disburse 30 lakh scholarships under the pre-matric scholarship scheme, 5 Lakh scholarships under post-matric scholarship scheme and 60,000 scholarships under merit-cum-means scholarship for UG PG students. Selected candidates will get a scholarship amount of Rs.20000/- per years directly in his/her bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities:

  • a Few years ago, the government has started this scheme for the minority students to support them at the pre-matric level. Under this scheme, students of class 1 to 10 gets the award up to Rs.600/- per month. Those students who get 50% in the previous final exam and his/her family income is below 1 lakh are liable to get benefits of this program.

Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities:

  • Following scheme is running for class 11 to Ph.D. students. Nominees of following standard who gets the 50% or above marks in the previous final exam will get the award of Rs.10,000 (Scholarship amount)per annul with the maintenance of Rs.1200/- per month. But, family incomes should be less than Rs.2 lakh.

Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses CS

  • This scheme is especially for those students who take admission in professional or technical courses at the graduate or postgraduate level. Selected candidates will get a scholarship amount of Rs.20,000/- per annul. He/She who wish to get Merit-cum-Means scholarship amount for the above-mentioned courses his/her family income must not surpass 2.5 lakh. Candidates must have to grab 50% or above marks in the previous final exam to become eligible for this scheme.

Instructions For Filling Bank Details

Bank Details
  • Choose the Bank/Branch name carefully from the drop down list.
  • Before applying online, get your bank account number and IFSC Code from the respective bank branch.
  • The scholarship will be canceled in case of the incorrect account number.
  • Please go to the bank to know about KYC (Know Your Customer). Please do all the formalities of KYC before applying online.
  • Without KYC no disbursal of the scholarship amount to the respective account.
  • Please open the new bank account in case you do not have an account in the bank.
  • Ministry of Minority Affairs will not be responsible in case of transaction failure.

How to Fill Ministry of Minority Affairs Scholarship Application Form 2019-20?

  • Candidates will have to open the official website at https://scholarships.gov.in/.
  • Find the “Ministry of Minority Affairs” option from the Central Schemes column.

  • If you are a new user then do new registration using the NEW REGISTRATION option.

MOMA Scholarship Renewal

Rules for Renewal Scheme
  • Scholarships can be renewed in the next academic year.
  • Students will have to produce the previous final exam result in order to prove that they have score at least 50% or more marks.
  • In order to renew this scheme, candidates must have to continue their education with the same course in the same institution.

Ministry of Minority Affairs Scholarship (Terms & Conditions)

Read Carefully All Terms & Conditions
1) Government has reserved 30% scholarships each minority girls students of the State or UT.
2) If no female applications found for this scholarships then scholarships will be transferred to same community male candidates.
3) Only two children of the same family would receive the scholarship meant for minorities.
4) Students are requested to attend the regular class.
5) Students who found guilty for violating the institute/school’s discipline or any conditions of the scholarships then scheme award would be canceled or suspended (pre-fixed time period).
6) Candidates do not need to to provide false information in any case otherwise it would lead to cancellation of the scholarship. The paid amount can be recovered
7) No cash or other account transfer possible. So, candidates must have to provide the saving account number with IFSC Code.(No Closed Account Valid) for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

  • The scheme is the Central Sector Scheme and 100% funding is provided by the Ministry of Minority Affairs.

MOMA Scholarship Sanctioned list 2019-20

  • Those who will submit multiple application then the last valid application will be sent for merit list generation.
  • The government will consider the following parameters to generate the merit list.
    • category
    • previous class percentage
    • the budget allotted for that particular scholarship
  • Merit list will be prepared for Fresh applications only (Not Required for Renewal).
  • As soon as the verification phase gets completed then within the 15 days time duration the merit list will be uploaded.
  • After releasing the merit list, the selected applicants will be sent to PFMS(Scholarship Distribution Software) for creation of Beneficiary IDs.

Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) approved UID/Aadhaar Card. It must be seeded with the bank account.

What is Aadhaar Based Payment?

Scholarship amount will be credited to only Aadhaar linked bank account. No amount will be transferred to the non-Aadhaar linked bank account which is given by the students.

What is Moma scholarship?

MOMA scholarship’s full form is merit-cum-means. It is for those students who wish to get financial assistance from after joining professional or technical courses at the graduate or postgraduate level.

Who can apply for a Moma scholarship?

All those candidates can apply whose family income parents/guardians Rs. 2.50 lakh and Rs. 2 lakh.
